Far Ings Nature Reserve and the local wood 24.4.12.

A couple of hours watching the male Marsh Harrier this morning on Barton reed bed saw the bird hunting quite close. Also from the screened hide I noticed a Dunnocks nest in the distant nettles, also later in a local wood a willow Tits nest site. The willow Tits were calling in an agitated voice at a squirrel on the trunk of the tree in which they are nesting. Once the squirrel had gone the female returned to the nest site and the male brought food to her.
