Barn Owl.

Barn Owl passes on route to it's nest site. Far from ideal conditions with thick cloud spoiling the evening watching this bird.

Barn Owl and Cuckoo.

A ride out on my bike to a site for this cuckoo brought both the Cuckoo and a Barn Owl as a bonus.

Bearded Tit pair at Far Ings.

Managed to get a shot this evening of our Bearded Tit pair. Shooting into the light but thrilled to capture the pair together on a calm evening climbing the reeds on the edge of the reedbed.

Marsh Harrier takes Mallard chick.

It may be shocking but it's reality. In order for us to see the magnificent Marsh Harrier, other birds must die. You still can't deny the sadness though. Everyone loves a fluffy duckling. This birds mother called in despair as one of it's brood is carried away.

Distant Bearded Tit and Marsh Harriers in poor light!

Today I returned to the patch to try to capture some photo's of Bearded Tits I saw on wed. I did manage to get one usable distant picture of the male bird. This male keeps flying and returning to the same area of the reedbed on a regular basis. This leaves me in hope of nesting activity here. I also managed to capture a couple of the four Harrier prey passes I witnessed whilst watching for the Bearded Tit. The Harrier shots are all at High ISO due to the poor light. If only the light had been better, the birds passed prey much closer than ever today. Sods law the light was poor.
